Old Green Shutters | Today I met Carey , the owner. I discovered this spot late July of last year and instantly felt the vibes one should feel in an antique shop. The music, the scent, and the lighting couldn’t be more on point. I still don’t believe someone with this vision and drive to bring out curators of all sorts in the northwest Indiana area is here-it’s not common. Carrie has exquisite taste and an eye for vintage aesthetic, nothing like I’ve seen before. Likewise, she sees the potential in these old, “broken” things that can be repurposed and fixed. Random bits that have purpose. I’ve always had a vision for what I would want a shop of my own to look like and it blew my mind seeing something so similar come to life; so much quirk and character. There is much rummaging to do here but I find it more of a source of inspiration than anything. So thankful I’m able to frequent here. If y’all ever get here, dropping in is a must! xo
